The Wood Between the Worlds, for percussion orchestra, was written for the 2025 Portage Central Indoor Percussion Ensemble. The ensemble requested a 2-2.5 minute “concert” percussion work that all 30+ members could perform. The result was this short & sweet percussion orchestra work. Written to have two players per marimba, antiphonal instruments, and a small percussion section.
